This update brings some simple evolutions to Medjolt and Floabet, as well as a Genesis Form for a fan favorite - Demitox!
Wattjed
Wattjed is a newly discovered evolution of Medjolt, and is a Ghost/Electric type. Though it’s mischievous nature hasn’t changed, it has gained greater control over the electricity in its body. Some say that this Pokémon and Nekvulger work together to help keep their small ecosystems in balance. Others say the two Pokémon are mortal rivals, and will stop at nothing to end the other. Both behaviors have been observed by numerous people, so it’s tough to say which opinion is true.
Nekvulger
Nekvulger is a newly discovered evolution of Floabet, and is an Astral/Flying type. This Pokemon is often seen as a deity of good luck and fertility. Many who used to worship Nekvulger spoke of its healing powers, and how it is related to Blissey in some ways. Some say that this Pokémon and Wattjed work together to help keep their small ecosystems in balance. Others say the two Pokémon are mortal rivals, and will stop at nothing to end the other. Both behaviors have been observed by numerous people, so it’s tough to say which opinion is true.
Genesis Demitox
Genesis Demitox is a newly discovered Genesis Form for Demitox, and is a Poison/Dragon type. Demitox is referred to as the "Sand Devil," but Genesis Demitox is referred to as the "Sand Dragon." This Pokemon has temporarily left its trickery, and has turned into a force of pure carnage. Having little control over its temper, it will aggressively seek out ancient shrines and destroy them for their riches. It's wings, though underdeveloped, are a positive attribute to its mobility. Being able to fly, albeit rather awkwardly, helps this primarily nocturnal Pokemon hunt better. In order to access Genesis Demitox, trainers must have a Demitox with the Luminosity Trait.

Competitive Pokemon - Wattjed and Nekvulger!
Wattjed and Nekvulger join the rest of the Carahnian dex as we explore some of their competitive possibilities. A unique aspect of these two Pokemon specifically is that they both sport "surge" abilities, those being Electric Surge for Wattjed and Astral Surge for Nekvulger. They can use these hidden abilities alongside their unique movesets to create some serious problems for foes on the battlefield.

POKEMON REDESIGNS
Following the last post, I figured an appropriate time to post this Pokemon's redesign was when its evolved form got a Genesis Form. Of course, I'm talking about Pinidel! Pinidel was one of the first few Pokemon concepts I conceived early on, and in an attempt to make it as perfect as it could be, I made arguably one of the weirdest Pokemon designs ever. I love Pinidel, but it needed some help in more than one department.
My main issue with Pinidel was its proportions. It looked flat from that angle, and its head appeared to be like twice the size of its body. The overall design also felt lazy. A baby lizard with some spikes is a very "Gen 1" thing to do, and I didn't want Pinidel to come off as such. My first goal was to fix its pose, and make its baby-like proportions clearer. I liked the tongue, but the eyes were HUGE. I then juiced up its design by making it more clearly reptile-like, and giving it some elements of Demitox. The colors were the best part of the design, so those stayed largely consistent. Overall, this design turned out much better than my initial concept.
