A new VD-21 Virus Form has been discovered in Carah, and it's probably even scarier than you thought.
A new Virus Form of Melmetal, the Hex Nut Pokemon, has been discovered in the Carah Region. Melmetal was known to be made of a nonlethal metal, but the Origin Energy in the region has corrupted that metal into a lethal Chromium alloy. Virus Melmetal, the Hexavalent Pokemon, is a Steel/Poison type, and has the newly discovered ability of Chrome Reversion. DELMAC is working alongside other, smaller corporations to develop a "vaccine" for these Pokemon to rid them of their corrupted Origin Energy.

What exactly is happening to these "infected" Pokemon?
Although it's still a mystery, we theorize that when specific Pokemon enter the Carah Region, the Origin Energy that flows through the region causes the Pokemon to have an adverse reaction via its biology, thus changing the Pokemon's form and typing. It's not clear what specifically is going on internally, and it may very well never be clear. The point, however, is that somehow, we must find a way to remove this corrupted portion of Origin Energy from the Pokemon in order to revert it back to its original form. Please keep in mind that not all Pokemon of a particular species that enter the region will become infected by VD-21. So for instance, not all Melmetal will become infected, but there is a fair chance that some of them may become infected. Regardless, there is one more piece of information that is perhaps the most interesting and unique about the currently discovered Virus Forms. Both Deoxys and Melmetal are rarely seen roaming on wild routes, or even in caves, but they have been very surprisingly been spotted near Kahment Island, Aegyptica Lake, and the Pharogon Ruins. These three locations house the greatest amounts of Origin Energy in the region, with Kahment Island being supported by the Origin Energy Basin, the largest supply of raw Origin Energy in all of Carah.
There is much to discuss, but so little time to act. DELMAC is developing a device that may be able to help purify the Pokemon, but it's still in early stages of development. We will keep you updated on any new developments in the purification device.

In some lighter news, today is Pokemon Day! On this day 25 years ago, The Pokemon Company released Pokemon Red and Pokemon Green in Japan. Today, we celebrate 25 years of success for the company, as the games have given so many people, young and old, a chance to explore a world filled with mystical creatures and expansive journeys. Whether it was as a safe haven or as a break from the tension of the outside world, curling up to explore the wonderful world of Pokemon with the numerous. creatively-designed Pocket Monsters was always a surreal moment for those of us who've loved the franchise as little kids. Because of the value of this day, on the site, I've released something very special in the Additional Art section - beta designs! I wanted to showcase some of the designs to not only celebrate 25 years, but also to celebrate my 50th Pokemon reveal for the region.
