DELMAC has released some new information on the Pokemon in Carah - Pokemon Traits! Additionally, Professor Zahra has declared two new species of Pokemon!
Introducing two new species of Pokemon - Baramsult and Zeuglisoar!
Baramsult

Baramsult is a Normal/Ground type Pokemon, and is known as the Ferocious Pokemon. Baramsult are incredibly rare Pokemon, and were nearly poached out of existence due to the rarity of the reflective stones in the soil they carry. Baramsult also have a special blackish-blue fur at the front of their manes. This was initially theorized to be ferrous deposits, but it was later discovered that it was also simply darker, dirt that gave the impression of iron.

Zeuglisoar
Zeuglisoar is a Rock/Flying type, and is the 3rd fossil that has been found in the Carah region. This Pokemon is an interesting case because unlike Spineling and Crocydily, scientists were not able to resurrect it back to its original form. It was found near Port Zauquest, hence why it's named after that as well, but scientists firmly believe that Zeuglisoar used to be either Ghost/Water or Dark/Water. This is because of the stunning height that it can fly up to now, which is indicative of it being able to go down far into the ocean. Furthermore, this Pokemon's current aggressive behavior may be representative of its behavior as a whole.
Pokemon Traits - A New Way to Explore the Carah Region!
The largest corporation in the Carah region, DELMAC, has coined a new term - Pokemon Traits! Pokemon Traits are not like Pokemon natures or abilities in any way, despite their similar connotations. Pokemon Traits are like sub-abilities, and are frequently found on wild Pokemon. However, certain Pokemon can gain these traits upon meeting specific requirements. They don't all have battle impacts, as some of them make it easier to encounter specific Pokemon, among a variety of other impacts. All of the information on each trait is still unclear and inadequately understood, but DELMAC has promised to dig further into the concept of Pokemon Traits. The following traits have been discovered on wild Pokemon in Carah, but there are more to be discovered.
Luminosity Trait

Pokemon that have the Luminosity Trait are often very alert, and have a drive to help those in need. This trait helps increase a Pokemon's evasion when its HP is 50% or less. It also helps find Dark and Ghost type Pokemon more easily, and temporarily increases the encounter rate for Pokemon with encounter rates of 3% or less.

Royalty Trait
Pokemon that have the Royalty Trait are often quite passive, and have a desire to train themselves to become top game. This trait helps increase the priority of all moves by +1. It also helps run away from wild Pokemon more quickly, and temporarily increases the odds of finding a Pokemon with at least 4 perfect IVs.
Divinity Trait

Pokemon with the Divinity Trait are considered the best of the best, often because of their immense power, and because this trait has powerful active battle effects. This trait allows the user to get an omniboost to its stats upon entry, and increases STAB boosts from 50% to 80%. Pokemon with the divinity trait are rare, but the trait helps increase the chance of finding Pokemon with the Divinity trait by 50%, and Pokemon of other traits by 65%. It also makes Pokemon who run away unable to do so for 10 turns.
There are a few other traits, and more to be discovered! For more information on all of the currently discovered traits, visit the Battle Data section of the site.
