Pokemon Traits

The following page contains information on the new concept of Pokemon Traits! Pokemon Traits are sub-abilities that have a variety of both battle-based and outside-of-battle effects that can help you, the trainer, achieve your goals as a trainer! DELMAC, the Carahnian megacorporation that coined the term, is currently looking into the various traits. The encounter chance is likelihood that the trait will appear on the Pokemon that can hold the trait, not the likelihood that Pokemon who can hold the trait will appear in general. For example, the chance that the Ferocity trait appears on a Baramsult is 66%, but the chance that Baramsult appears in general is not 66%.

Additionally, any given Pokemon can have up to 3 traits. Traits can be passed down via breeding, but it's possible that the a trait that is in one stage of an evolution may not remain consistent across all stages of evolution. Genesis Forms all retain the traits of their original forms, except for the Genesis Trait, which replaces an existing held trait.

Luminosity

Pokemon that have the Luminosity Trait are often very alert, and have a drive to help those in need. This trait helps increase a Pokemon's evasion when its HP is 50% or less. It also helps find Dark and Ghost type Pokemon more easily, and temporarily increases the encounter rate for Pokemon with encounter rates of 3% or less.

Healer

Pokemon that have the Healer Trait are friendly and openhearted, and are always willing to provide service to others, even if it means the must incur a loss to themselves. This trait helps to revive the holder and any ally Pokemon’s HP by 15% if either or both Pokemon’s HP falls below 20% in battle, but only once. This trait also helps revive any fainted party member’s HP once after battle, and prevents wild Pokemon from knocking themselves out for 5 turns upon entry.

Spirituality

Pokemon that have the Spirituality Trait are focused on developing their mind and focus, and will often tune out anything they find to be irrelevant to their current mental state. This trait allows the user to avoid entry hazards as long as its HP is above 50%. It also helps to find Psychic, Fairy, and Grass more easily, and keeps all party Pokemon’s happiness level high.

Divinity

Pokemon with the Divinity Trait are considered the best of the best, often because of their immense power, and because this trait has powerful active battle effects. This trait allows the user to get an omniboost to its stats upon entry, and increases STAB boosts from 50% to 80%. Pokemon with the divinity trait are rare, but the trait helps increase the chance of finding Pokemon with the Divinity trait by 50%, and Pokemon of other traits by 65%. It also makes Pokemon who run away unable to do so for 10 turns.

Virus

Pokemon with the Virus Trait have been infected with the VD-21 OE Surplus, as the only Pokemon that can have this trait are Virus Forms. This trait is not always on Virus Forms, but if it is, it’s incredibly powerful and tough to mitigate. This trait allows the user to gain STAB boosts for Poison- and Dark-type moves, and nullifies the effects of weather. This trait has a drawback, however, in that all Pokemon with this trait take 10% extra damage from poison each turn.

Sin

This is Amulteun’s signature trait. The Sin Trait gives eternal punishment to those sinful enough to come across it. The trait amplifies the effects of Amulteun’s signature ability, Deific Spectroforce, so that if Amulteun is hit by a physical super-effective attack, the opponent loses 50% of its max HP. This trait also increases the power of critical hits from 50% more to 75% more. This only works once.

Dexterity

Pokemon that have the Dexterity Trait are able-bodied, and can achieve in a variety of areas, even if the achievements are only temporary. This trait warns the user of the opponent’s most powerful attack upon entry, and increases the Pokemon’s highest stat by 1 stage if hit by a super effective attack. It also helps the user find a Pokemon of a particular type as long as a Pokemon of that type is in the front of the party, and temporarily reduces the chance of finding Pokemon that are lower level than the lowest level Pokemon in the party.

Genesis

Pokemon with the Genesis Trait are incredibly rare, as only Genesis Forms will have this trait. This trait allows the user to absorb the first attack used against it, and receive an omniboost every turn it is in its Genesis Form. The user's most prominent stat is also increased by 1 stage. However, this trait consumes so much Origin Energy that there is one major drawback - there is an 85% chance that the Genesis Form will lose its Genesis capabilities at 60% HP, so it will revert back to its normal form. This trait also increases the chance of finding Genesis-capable Pokemon by 50%.
