Venalynx are known for protecting their young from anything that is even remotely littered with filth. They demand cleanliness and sophistication wherever they go. Because of this, most Venalynx are kept by high-ranking officials, especially kings and other people of power. They were often used as pets long ago, as evidenced by writings from ancient Carahnian empires. Ancient kings also used them as modes of catching animals to eat, as their classy and venal demeanor often obscures their aggressive and fast nature. They love shiny objects, and will trick anyone, even their own trainers, into giving them gems, gold, and other pearls.
