Origin Energy has transformed Empoleon into Genesis Empoleon. This Pokemon has lost the ability to retain water in its body for attack purposes for long periods of time, which means that it had to find an alternative way to store water. It stores water now by freezing whatever it touches. It can freeze even the hottest of objects, and can make certain gases undergo reduction to turn them into ice. Ancient levels of Origin Energy are the reason this Pokemon has lost its ability to store water, but it's believed that it used to help people and Pokemon of old in traveling across oceans.
